'Beat Around The Bush'- The Musical
So how did the band 'Wendy and the Wombats' get together?
When Wendy was growing up, she lived in the little town of Busheridoo and loved singing & dancing as a young Wombat. She begged her parents to let her go to the Busheridoo School for Performing Arts, & well, you guessed it, she was an outstanding student. So she formed a band with four other young wombats and they practised long hours, hoping for musical stardom. Wendy, the lead singer, songwriter and motivator of the group often finds it hard when the other members don’t want to work as hard as she does. However, when news of a fabulous talent contest run by a famous blues singer and piano player reaches the furry ears of these big-time hopefuls, it seems nothing will stand in the way of their dreams. Nothing that is, except a big old lizard with his own ideas about what stardom can bring. In this tale of dreams, friendship and making music, five little critters learn that fame isn’t everything...but friends certainly are! |
